Black Out

While you read this post, I am on my way to a weekend getaway with family and friends :). Happy weekend everyone! Lately, I am obsessed with all black outfits with a pop of color. I created one such outfit here. I had an all black wardrobe few years ago, but it has become very colorful now. Though, my love for black is slowly finding its way to my wardrobe again.

I am wearing:
Black Shirt: Ghora Tabela
Pink Shirt: Sarojini Nagar
Bangles/Earrings: Deepika Designs
Ring: HandsOn
Necklace: diva

The Jewelry Corner (Organisation)

As you guys know, I have (temporarily) moved to Melbourne. New house, new room and new organisations :D. I am not a very organised person, generally, but when it comes to clothes, bags, shoes and jewelry, I am highly organised. So in my new room, I managed to create a lil jewelry corner using the stuff we generally have around our house. So, following are pictures and some tips to make your own jewelry corner:

The Corner
I've made this jewelry corner over an orange storage cube which has some makeup and some more jewelry stored in there :D.

  • I've stacked the bangles over a tissue role holder.
  • The butterfly that holds my earrings is a candle holder. I've taken out the two holders and kept them on the left side of the stand and it hold my studs.

  •  The oxidized silver tray in the picture below holds all my rings, you can also use a glass bowl to keep your rings. I picked this up from The Salvation Army store for 50 cents.

  •  The candle holders which now hold my studs

  •  I used a basket to store my huge pendants

  •  You can hang as many earrings as you like on the stand. Those pink and bronze earrings are my latest buys, haven't worm them yet.

  •  I've pasted some hooks inside the storage cube to hang my necklaces. You can use such hooks anywhere (on the door of your room, cupboard door etc.) to hang your neckpieces.

  •  I've placed my brooches at the base of the stand (the beige and black roses)

I hope this post gives you some inspiration for making your own jewelry corner :). I would also like to know how do you guys store your jewelry? Do share your ideas!

Much Love,
Deepika

The Great Ocean Road (Melbourne Diaries)

While, its winters in most of the places, here in Melbourne, we welcome summers. Yay!! (Though, summers here are not even near summers, it can get cold any minute). Except the coziness of winters, I am a lil biased towards summers. :D. So, I went to the most scenic drive I've ever been to, The Great Ocean Road. If you guys don't believe me, google it, you'll know what I am talking about! That place is just B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Yes, I mean it and before I go on and on about its beauty, here come the pictures:

That's my Brother :)

Ain't it picture perfect?

Ain't the place beautiful?
This pretty much sums up my current state of mind: “Not all those who wander are lost.”

St. Kilda Beach (Melbourne Diaries)

So, I've never been to a beach all my life when I was in India and less than a month being here, I've already visited three beaches. Yay!!. I went to St. Kilda Beach on Saturday and was totally mesmerized by its beauty. We walked by the beach, soaked in the beauty and clicked beautiful pictures. Then, we stopped at Nando's for a quick bite. The weather here is quite unpredictable, carrying a jacket and an umbrella with you always, is a must. Here are some pictures from that day:

Feels Good to be back!!

First of all a big Hello to everyone. Well, I managed to be away from this space for almost over a month. Feels good to know that I was missed :) (I missed you guys too, will catch up on all the blogs soon). I did come here to write in between, but I had so many ideas that I was unable to settle for any one idea and I kept bouncing back and forth. I have too much to tell you guys but let's go one by one :D. I am on a long long holiday (as I've already mentioned in my previous post). The update is I am in Melbourne. Ha! it feels good (very good, actually).
So, in Melbourne, my life is pretty much eating-shopping-wandering-meetingnewpeople :D (which, I am totally enjoying). Well, things are a bit settled now, therefore, I am back to blogging!
And here are some random pictures from the trip so far (detailed posts on the way!)
