So, I was again creating outfits at Polyvore. You can see the first one here. I was browsing the site and I came across this beautiful aztec print tee. All three outfits are created around the tee. No heels because I hardly wear them (unless its some very very special day :D). I do own heels but I am biased towards my flats, comfort being the only reason. And now, I need a similar tee! Ain't it beautiful?
I love coral. Anything which is either coral or polka dot or floral or crochet has to be mine :D. I have too much of all the four in my wardrobe. Few weeks ago my life revolved around coral, if you follow me on Instagram, you must know! I was coral obsessed (yes, I have color obsession phases :P).. I still am, but not as much I guess, so here are some pictures of my Coral favorites from the past:
The weekend has been relaxing as well as productive. So I thought I should publish the post before 12 so it adds to the productivity ;). A few days ago I was creating random(yes,without following any theme or trend) outfits at Polyvore. This what I came up with. The plain,old and dependable pair of jeans. I love my jeans in any and every color. And nothing meets the comfort of an old pair of jeans along with a tee, right? So here's my outfit for the laid back weekend.
Have you ever been in such a phase of life wherein in you were so much excited about something that you lost your sleep? Sleeping simply seemed wastage of time? I've been through quite-a-few situations like these, one such situation was Deepika Design's initial phase, when I wanted to design stuff all day and night. When you're living your dream who wants to sleep, eh? I do get such creative-attacks every now and then, where I have to literally 'push' myself into the sleep mode. There are nights when I do not sleep at all because a design is stuck in my head and I would not get any sleep till I bring that design to life. Then, there is a rush of satisfaction through my blood when I see my imagination taking shape. It may seem weird to you if you have never been a 'creator' but trust me the feeling is heavenly and all the restlessness before seems totally worth it!

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins a.k.a Adele is the artist of the month on MPF this month. Never heard her songs? Then your missing something huge in life. Go, listen to her songs first, that'll make you understand this post better. I love the theme of her songs. "Set fire to the rain" was one of the first songs I heard but gradually I was totally addicted to her voice. Songs like "Someone like you", "Rolling in the Deep" and "Set fire to the rain" are my all time favorites from her. Set fire to the rain is a song that I can never listen just once, I always listen to it at least twice (if not more!), its the pain in the song that's addictive! Her songs have been the inspiration to my designs as well. When somebody asks me how do I exactly get inspired by music to design jewelry, I don't really have any answer but I guess music gets me in the mood or it imbibes those creative vibes, I don't know but I feel inspired :)
I love rains. I simply love rains. Sitting by the window, watching it pour and sipping coffee. Perfect!! When I was a kid heavy rains meant a holiday in the school, jumping in the water pits and then getting scolded by mom :D. Rains somehow connect me to the Child in me I want to do the same madness I did in my childhood and I do manage to find excuses to get drenched ;). I am jotting this as I watch the beautiful water drops dripping from the grill of my balcony :)
Its been only 15 days and I am in love with my blog, I never thought I'd like it this much. I've started enjoying writing the blog posts, doing DIYs and getting myself clicked ;). This place feels so mine. As of now I am enjoying every bit of it.
So I could not manage any 'proper' outfit pictures this weekend. Why? Yesterday was bad lighting and today the level of humidity was infinity. So here's what it looks like:
Yes, paisley is now 'officially' my favorite print. I love it. The one I am wearing in the pictures below is a very basic paisley print. Being the Google maniac I am, I googled paisley too. You can read about it here. It has a fascinating history. I grew up calling it the 'Ambi' print.
Did you read this DIY post. If not, then go read it first :D.The leftover earring from that post got converted into a broach. How was it done? I just glued a broach pin behind it using a hot glue gun and I added an orange drop bead to it. Simple!
Coffee holds a very special place in my life. For me, a relaxed day is never complete without "A Cup of Coffee". Of all the cappuccinos I have ever tasted, CCD's cappuccino is the best and with the chocolate fantasy it becomes a deadly combo :P. A perfect laid back day for me would be spent reading a good book along with multiple servings of cappuccino :D
So we (Mom and me) went for a coffee at a CCD near our place today for a coffee. All the photographs except the first and last two are taken by mom.
And we are launching a new German Silver collection (on demand) on monday at Deepika Designs. The bangles I am wearing in this post are a part of the collection.
I am in the DIY mode these days. Today's DIY is abso-flipin-lutely easy. All you need is an old (or new) pair of earrings. I own a lot of earrings so they are the jewelry I recycle the most like I recycled last time. In case you missed the last post, you can read it here.
I went to old Delhi yesterday for some work. For some reason I've recently grown very fond of that place on the contrary I was scared to go to that place a couple of years ago and I never went there.Then I got a job in daryaganj in a publication house, that's when I lost my fears and now I like the place quite a lot. So I decided to take the outfit pictures there.
If was a 5 minute outfit as I was in a rush. The main theme was the black and brown combo (which I love). These denims because these are the only non-skinny ones I have. Those shoes because it was raining sometime ago.
This pair was gifted by my bhabhi (sis-in-law) on my 19th birthday. When it comes to jewelry I am a Keeper. I like to 'preserve' my jewelry as long as I can and when its gifted (as in this case) I take double care of it. But what can do you do if you lose a part of it or it is damaged. The most common problem with the earrings is that you lose one of them but in my case one of my enameled earring decided to shed off its enameling (jewelry can have its own mind you know :P). One of the earrings was intact and the other lost all of it (the enameling!), so I decided to recycle the other one like below:
Yesterday was Friendship's day, my besty and I met for a coffee and we went to Dilli Haat. It rained as soon as we entered dilli haat. So we sat there,talked, had coke and watched the rain pour. We had an amazing time together :D
This is my first OOTD post, a huge thanks to all the people who encouraged me to do it. I hope you guys like it. I would like to give special credits to Dhriti who listens to all my chattering about what I shop and how I plan to wear them and gives in some tips too (I love you gal :D ). There isn't any elaborate story behind this outfit, it was formed around the floral top and I somehow wanted to combine yellow and blue. Everything else just fell into place. I actually wanted to carry a jhola as the bag for this look but since it was raining I had to carry this bag.
We all have that special place in our heart for Friends, don't we? They understand you even when you do not understand yourself (I don't know whether it happens with everyone but yes happens with me! There are times when I do not understand myself :P). This girl has been a (important) part of my life since 7 years! We met when I was in 11th class and it was friendship at first sight :P. We had our lunch together, chatted for long hours and did crazy things together. Our days did not complete without seeing each other :). Those were the best days! Now we both are busy with our life but the friendship is stronger than ever before. No matter what I went through in life, she was always there with me. She is Priya Sachdeva, my bestest friend ever :D
Today on Friendship's Day I would like to dedicate this post to her!

Pictures hold a very special place in my heart and my life. I take pictures of anything and everything, I love capturing moments which make me smile later. I go click click click everywhere. Whenever I am out I will at least take one picture, if of nothing else then myself :D. If you know me personally you'll know what I am taking about ;). I am totally obsessed with Instagram (an app for taking and editing pictures). I post a picture almost daily there :D. The last holiday we went on was in January. We went to Amritsar and Dalhousie. Well, you all must have heard that time heals, but time along with the music heals better and faster :). We all
face that phase in life when we do not know what the problem is but we feel sad and blue. I too went through that phase a couple of years ago and Linkin Park was the medicine to my pain.
So, I created this blog around April then I totally forgot about it (random ideas u know! never always work out) then I kept bouncing back and forth not knowing whether to blog or not to blog. The main confusion being what will be the purpose of my blog, why would anyone read it! So what is this blog about? Ummm...this blog is about me! (yes I know you would say that every blog is about the blogger). Ok I confess I could not come up with something better than that :P .Music, photography and fashion are totally ruling my life right now and I have this serious urge to write about something or the other. I write, a lot! and sometimes its just about nothing specific. So I can't really decide the topic of this blog. It'll be about anything that'll cross my mind while writing! (yeah, now that makes some sense :D ). And yes I love to share my outfit pictures, I am already doing it on instagram! So you'll find look of the day, pictures of the day and my favourite music along with my creations (Jewelry Pieces). And sometimes it can be totally random :D .
